LCS Civils Ltd is proud to support the incredible work of EPiC HOPE — a charity based in Wigan that is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention across the community. In May, we were delighted to donate £5,000 towards the purchase and professional wrapping of EPiC HOPE’s new Mobile Harbour, which can now be seen travelling around the Wigan area. This initiative allows the charity to reach more people in crisis, deliver hope to those on the edge, and ultimately save lives from suicide.
As part of our continued support, Paula, Jess and Connor from LCS took part in the Wigan 10k on September 7th, running on behalf of EPiC HOPE Charity. The event brought the local community together in aid of Joining Jack and many other great causes — a fantastic day for everyone involved. Congratulations to all who took part!
A few days later, on World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10th), members of our team visited EPiC HOPE’s Harbour in Wigan to share messages of support on their message board and learn more about the charity’s ongoing work. At LCS, we take mental health seriously and are committed to ensuring that no one in our team faces difficult times alone. We actively encourage open conversations about mental health and remind all staff that help is always available. To strengthen this commitment, LCS has recently signed up for the EPiC HOPE Workforce Wellness Package, helping us provide a supportive and understanding workplace for any employees who may be struggling or facing a crisis.
EPiC HOPE was founded by Ellie, a suicide survivor who has turned her personal journey into a powerful mission to create safe spaces, education, and support for those in need. We are honoured to stand alongside EPiC HOPE in their efforts to spread awareness, compassion, and hope throughout our community.
